- What is this?
- It's a small tool for professional translators to
research unknown words.

- What does it do?
- It takes one search term and feeds it to a handful
of small windows, each carrying out a different search. For example,
how often can the word be found at all by a search engine? Is there
a picture of it? Is there a definition of it? Is there a Wikipedia
page? Is it in a dictionary? I've guessed a translation, does it match?

- Allow popups
- Just for this page allow popups, otherwise it won't
work. To enable popups in Internet Explorer From the "Extras" menu
choose "Popupblocker" and the option "Popupblockereinstellungen" (popup
blocker settings). Add http://www.wordwise.de to the list of "Zugelassene
Sites" (allowed sites).
If you have installed a Google toolbar, this blocks popups too so,
when on http://www.wordwise.de, click on the button in the toolbar
to enable popups. If you still can't get more than one window to appear
at a time, repeatedly click on the search button until windows stop
appearing.

so that you get the little helper window without toolbars.

- The good browsers close them all if you close
this particular window. The same with minimise  .

- Es verteilt einen einmalig eingegeben Suchbegriff über
eine Gruppe von Fenstern. Jedes Fenster hat eine eigene, parallel ablaufende

- Popups zulassen
- Lassen Sie Popups für diesee Seite zu, sonst wird
es nicht richtig funktionieren. Im Internet Explorer fangen Sie mit
dem "Extras" Menü an, "Popupblocker" Option
und dann "Popupblockereinstellungen...". http://www.wordwise.de
in die Liste der "Zugelassene Sites" eintragen. Falls Sie
ein Google Toolbar oder ähnliches installiert haben, müssen

sind, klicken Sie auf den Knopf in der Google Werkzeugleiste, um Popups
zuzulassen. Falls trotz alledem nur ein Fenster erscheint, wird mehrmaliges
Klicken auf dem Suchknopf die fehlenden Fenster produzieren.

wenn Sie dieses eine Fenster schließen .
